ANR projects: 10 cluster-approved projects funded in 2023

Last summer, the French National Research Agency (ANR) published the lists of projects selected under the 2023 Call for Generic Projects (AAPG).

This year, 48% of ANR projects accredited by the cluster have received funding, representing 10 projects and a total grant of around 5.5 million euros. We are pleased and proud to share in the success of the members involved in the projects listed below:

  • Carbide-based heterostructures for a new generation of thermal neutron detectors (CADOR) - Project coordinator: LMI (69)
  • Catalyzed Mineral Carbonation integrated with CO2 capture (CARMIN) - Project coordinator: ICBMS (69)

  • Development of dry shaping processes for the manufacture of bio-based materials with a reduced environmental footprint (DRYBIOMAT) - Project coordinator: LGP2 (38)

  • Cellulosic fibre mats with improved FIBRE BONDs towards lighter, stronger and stretchable bio-based materials (FIBREBOND) - Project co-ordinator: LGP2 (38)

  • Functional oligolignins: towards a versatile and potentially reversible biosourced elastomer crosslinking system (FOLIASTREX) - Project co-ordinator: IRCELYON (69)

  • High-performance functionalized cellulose membranes for fuel cells (IONMCELL) - Project coordinator: CERMAV (38)

  • Multiphysics study of thermochemical storage in rotary furnaces (MULTITHERMO) - Project coordinator: EMSE SPIN (42)

  • New processes for the production of L-rhamnose (Rah) - Project coordinator: Institut pascal (63)

  • Study and design of reactors for hydrogen storage in LOHCs (RID-LOHC) - Project coordinator: LAGEPP (69)

  • Behavior of plastic microparticles in urban effluent management facilities in combined sewer systems during rainy weather (TRANSPLAST III) - Project coordinator: LGCIE DEEP (69)

The role of the cluster

The AXELERA cluster supports its members in their innovation initiatives. Our members have thus benefited from the labeling of their projects, a process of improving project quality through iterations between industry experts and the project leader. The AXELERA label is a quality label recognized by funding bodies. Do you have a project in mind ? Don't hesitate to contact the cluster teams !

What is the ANR?

The ANR was created in 2005 to promote French project-based research, and to stimulate innovation by fostering the emergence of multidisciplinary collaborative projects and encouraging "public-private" collaborations. To this end, it offers competitive calls for projects and implements rigorous selection processes based on peer review, in line with international principles of impartiality, fair treatment, confidentiality, ethics, scientific integrity and transparency.
