International development strategy

Axelera has rolled out an international development plan for 2013–2018. The plan’s three pillars reflect Axelera members’ stated international development needs:

1. make it easier to apply for funding through EU horizon 2020 projects

  • Axelera has been an active member of EU SPIRE public-private partnership working groups since 2013

  • Participation in EU brokerage events

  • Expansion of our partner network to include other clusters across Europe

  • Submissions to EU calls for projects

2. Support member companies’ international business development efforts

  • Assistance for members setting up their export strategies through the Go Export program and training to prepare for international trade shows

  • International networking opportunities like tours of other clusters in Europe, attendance at international business conventions and other events, and setting up meetings between Axelera members and foreign corporations

  • Chemical-environmental sector delegations sent to relevant trade shows abroad

  • High-level international speakers invited to events run or sponsored by Axelera

  • Attendance at international scientific meetings by Axelera experts

  • Market intelligence for China and Brazil

3. raise the cluster’s and members’ profiles internationally

  • Publication of communications in English highlighting Axelera’s and its members’ activities (annual activity report, monthly newsletter, website, etc.)
